Matt is a passionate mountain biker, adventurer, and trail advocate living in Revelstoke, BC. When he isn't guiding or coaching in the summertime, he’s likely sneaking in a ride with friends or organizing trail building and events as a volunteer for the Revelstoke Cycling Association. Matt enjoys meeting people from all over the world and he loves sharing his knowledge and passion for mountain biking with all of our guests!
During the off season, Matt spends his time planning and guiding unique and adventurous mtb trips all over the world! If you’ve ever dreamt of hike-a-biking to the summit of Kilimanjaro, heli-biking down massive Chilean volcanoes, bike-packing through the magnificent Himalaya Mountains of Nepal, or riding in the backcountry of Tibet, he can help you make it happen!
Born in Nelson BC and raised in the Kootenays, Sahana has had a lifelong connection with the mountains. She enjoys biking on them in the summertime and skiing them in the winter. She loves living in Revelstoke but also loves to travel and explore new places all over the world! When she manages to find some free time in the summer, she also enjoys going to the beach, camping, and wrestling grizzly bears!
You can often find Sahana in the office, building incredible and unforgettable mountain biking experiences for our guests. She is also a skilled and experienced rider, guide, and instructor who helps to run our kids programs, ladies clinics, and more. Her favourite thing to do is to get people stoked by sharing our lovable mountain town and our world-class trails with them!
Raised in Ontario, as soon as he was old enough, Connor moved west to find the mountains. He stumbled upon Revelstoke while working for the Canadian Enduro Series and he hasn’t left since then. He’s a very energetic and sociable guide as well as a passionate rider. Being a new school rider, there’s nothing better than a long flow trail in his books. Connor guides all kinds of trips; whether it be a multi day trip or a beginner lesson, he’s stoked to show you Revelstoke.
In the off season, Connor travels to New Zealand where he works at Cardrona Bike park as the bike school co-ordinator. He’s trying his best to constantly outrun winter. If you ever want to know a thing or two about riding in NZ, don’t hesitate to ask him!
Luke grew up riding bikes amongst a community of motivated riders and trailbuilders in Calgary, and he headed west to the mountains at every opportunity! Luke developed his true life passion for riding in Fernie BC, where he began riding downhill and racing at a competitive level. During almost a decade of downhill racing Luke has travelled around the world competing in international mountain bike events at a World Cup level!
Now living in Revelstoke, Luke pursues his passion for the mountains by training as a ski guide in the winters and trail building, guiding, and coaching mountain biking in the summers. Luke is pumped to show you his backyard and share some good times on two wheels!
Dave is a part-time guide, a full-time trail builder, a bike mechanic, and a volunteer firefighter here in Revelstoke. He is a the Director of Trail Maintenance for the RCA and he works as a crew leader for a local trail building company. Dave is our lead bike mechanic, he coaches some of our kids camps, and he guides tours on the weekends.
Dave is a passionate and skilled mountain biker with a pretty impressive background in urban and trials riding - ask him to show you some tricks! In the winter, Dave enjoys ripping on his snowboard and splitboard as often as possible and he works as a ski tech at Skookum Cycle and Ski.
As a third generation Revelstoke local born and raised, Sam knows what the stoke is all about. Sam got his start with Wandering Wheels kids camps and never looked back! Whenever he isn’t at school you can find him out in the forest, either trail building, building up dirt jumps or just out shredding. You can often find him digging and operating chainsaw with the local high school shred squad out in the bush on their latest projects. Sam is working hard on honing in his skills on and off the bike and is looking foreword in sharing this awesome sport with anyone he can.
In the winter he is either skiing or researching old trails. Sam ski races with the local race team training and competing at races around the province. He loves learning about all the old school trails and finding relics in the forest, and is stoked to show you all the amazing trail dinosaurs out there!
Odin Woods began taking mountain bike courses with Wandering Wheels when he was 11 years old. Now he enjoys sharing his passion for biking the local trails with a new generation of Wandering Wheels kids. He has his PMBIA Level 1 coaching certification and an intimate knowledge of all the jumps and features on all the trails around Revelstoke. He loves ripping it up on Boulder, Cartier, and McPherson with his friends and family and knows how to link up some of the best bike routes around and how to make the most out of any day out. He has biked on trails and in bike parks in BC, Alberta, Utah, and Oregon.
His quiet confidence and gentle manner help to make everyone’s mountain bike experience a positive one. He hopes that everyone he coaches learns to love riding as much as he does.
Raised in Lhasa, Tibet’s capital city at an elevation of 3650m, Abu developed the lungs for riding in the high mountains before he ever learned to ride a bike. But learn to ride he has, and he’s now been guiding cycling trips across Tibet for the past 15 years! He’s as fearless as they come on single track descents and unbeatable while climbing gruelling himalayan passes. He’s an experienced backcountry guide and his natural resourcefulness and creativity is a vital asset to have on any adventure in Tibet.
Abu is part owner of Extravagant Yak, partner company for our Backcountry Tibet trips. He is full of cultural knowledge and always offers up a laugh or two, with a charming smile and a charismatic personality!
Om was born in a rural village outside of Pokhara, Nepal, surrounded by the magnificent Himalaya Mountains. A natural explorer from a young age, Om left home at 16 and spent two years cycling around his beautiful country. Om used his knowledge of Nepal to become a certified mountain trekking guide and has spent the past ten years guiding people on foot and providing quality mtb experiences in the Himalayas.
When he’s not working as a guide, he’s often exploring new routes with friends or leading social development programs in Nepal, which include building schools from recycled, sustainable materials!
